What is the best way to get a credit check done for yourself?

Not the ones on TV that are scams to get you on a monthly retainer for other services.

Don't mind paying for it.

If you're looking just for a credit review without FICO score, you are entitled to one per year for free.

Check your state regulations. Might save you $15.

I'm almost positive that annualcreditreport is what most in the field call a FACO instead of FICO. Basically it's not a true FICO score.

Myfico.com is one of the places you can get a true score for all three big boys.

acr is a siter where you could order you cr, in most states, for free. You could get it from all 3 reporters. It has nothing to do with scores.

I'm 100% sure you can't get free credit reports from myfico.com. About 2 years ago they had something w/ one of them, but not anymore.

If you want the free reports to the annualcreditreport. Its not a scam.

I have creditinform

Identity theft insurance.

Let me know immediately if I have a credit inquiry.

Give me a detailed credit report, score and analysis every quarter.

And maybe some other stuff.

It's kind of expensive but I've been there for so long and they saved me a few times, I just keep them. I think I pay $7.99 a month through my Capital One CC
