Man, I got this nagging cold, I have tried the usual route which is Nyquil at night, Dayquil during the day and Vicks ointment, but I cannot shake it. Anyone have anything else they use to shake colds, as this is cutting into my Holiday drinking time which is beginning to bum me out!

make damn sure you are roomtemp and completely dry from head to toe when you exit the gym..

nearly 30 years of working outside..then into hot stores and then into refrig and freezers..

used to burn those mothers up..

be careful though..don't dehydrate..

HELL
No shit, I had mine for about 10 days. Just nagging, extremely congested in my head at night/morning then into chest during the day. I just got over it, and what OS stated worked for me. For the last 2 weeks after I try to work out, I would go sit in the steam room with 2 bottles of water, sweat it out and hydrate all at once. Feel better now, but was that annoying.

Dr. Madjack's recommendation:

Obtain 1 pint bottle Cointreau
Run shower on "all hot"
Sit on toilet
Drink Cointreau

It's all about the Vitamin C in the Cointreau!

Seriously, if you don't feel better, you won't care!

My Mothers cure all for a cold (she'll be 87 in Feb).

Hot Toddy:

Ingredients

1 teaspoon honey
2 fluid ounces boiling water
1 1/2 fluid ounces whiskey
3 whole cloves
1 cinnamon stick
1 slice lemon
1 pinch ground nutmeg

Directions

1.Pour the honey, boiling water, and whiskey into a mug. Spice it with the cloves and cinnamon, and put in the slice of lemon. Let the mixture stand for 5 minutes so the flavors can mingle, then sprinkle with a pinch of nutmeg before serving.

If it was a real bad cold she'd have two :mj07:

Chicken Soup and add a ton of garlic and as many hot peppers as you can stand. Sweat the thing out!

Where it is real F ing COLD
Keep up the Nyquil but quit taking the Dayquil unless you absolutely have to work or have important business.. You may need to call in sick.. The Dayquil is good for a day to get you through work but it is keeping your body away from the rest that it needs.

Chicken Noodle Soup, Chicken Noodle Soup, and more Chicken Noodle Soup..

I suppose Florida does not have saunas. Up here in da north we have a Sauna on every block EH. A day in the sauna will knock that there cold out for good eh

my favorite teacher in high school always told me during cold seasons

"starve a fever, and sweat a cold."

worked for me most of the time. I would workout hard when i was sick and often times seemed like I would recover quicker. I drink as much juice as possible when sick and absolutley punish fruits I knw all that is obvious but just figured I would chime in. Workin out was always best solution IMO. hope you feel better fot the holidays pal!

Day three of antibiotics and still feel like crap. Obviously I don't have a cold because they prescibed antibiotics. The left side of my face ached so much last nite I couldn't sleep. Going to try the recliner tonite............

Well I broke down and went to the doctor today. They stuck a swab up my nose and in my mouth and told me that me temp was 103 and that the tests indicated that I had the Flu! The doc gave me a script for Tamuflu and told me to also buy some Benadryl. She told me that I was the 15th person this week that has come in and been diagnosed with Influenza A. Im hoping to be in drinking shape by the 24th!

Anytime I feel like I might be coming down with something I "OD" on orange juice and pop a few vitamin Cs with rose hips. Not sure if it's really the reason but I haven't been sick in years while others around me are always getting something.
