One my former bosseswas talking about practicing for one on Facebook the other day. It doesn't seem too "flashy"' to me if people r practicing for it though??

Actually 6-5 there are a lot of logistics involved. I think the "flash" is the fact that people seem to just start these up spontaneously in a public place. Several of the local choirs in my hometown just did one in the mall there. Here's a link to the article and the video.
