have windows xp

other day downloaded 3 movies approx 1 gig each
delted the movies to free up space,,when tried to download new movie 1 gig,,says low on memory,,,thinking where else on the computer the other movies can be to delete..checked recycle bin

I think all you have to do is reboot. Try that.

I'm thinking the message means RAM.

the space isnt allocated until you really trash it

Jaek should be right on this. When you download anything, it goes into your RAM (random access memory) first, then to your hard drive if it's saved. Rebooting clears the RAM. At least that's how I think it works. Rebooting always works for me.:shrug:
