Hey guys...this rule is NOT like college correct? if it does go to OT, than does the team who scored a fg have to kick it away or does the ball get placed on 20...meaning they need 80 yds for a TD?

Just curious?

"It takes away from the walk-off home run, so to speak, in the NFL," Bears kicker Robbie Gould said Wednesday. "You have to make the adjustment and every kick counts."

Gould beat the Seahawks in a playoff game Jan. 14, 2007, with a 49-yard field goal in overtime.

"We'll be ready for it," Bears coach Lovie Smith said. "We're ready for anything that will happen during the course of the playoffs."

Gould said he is looking at the prospect of more scoring with the new overtime rule, as well as advanced strategy.

"You might see a couple of extra onside kicks," Gould said. "You have to approach it the same way (during the opening drive of overtime). You have to take the points and hopefully your defense stops them."
