I think it is too easy for people to get an AR - 15. This last shooter to could legally get an AR - 15 but not a beer. Doesn't make sense to me.
The mental illness and violence in video games argument breaks down quickly when you realize the US isn't the only country that has people with mental illness and young men playing violent video games. We have a gun problem and nothing changes until we address that. Reinstuting the assault weapons ban and increasing the legal age to 25 would be two good first steps.
