Simply put? It's not the America First agenda you guys are so gaga over.
Also, one of Teslas competitors right here in the US just had a 6 billion dollar government loan paused. Meanwhile, Tesla keeps getting money. I'm sure it's all above board, though.

ummmmm America first for government spending. We can’t tell Tesla, Google, Apple or anyone else where to conduct business.
That loan secured after the election needs to be looked at just like all other lame duck contracts. If it is beneficial to America, then I’m sure it will go through. If not, then it won’t. Its that simple.

Alright, I looked into it this morning
The Tesla Trucks are being procured by third party company and modified for tactical purposes. Tesla, a company headquartered in America and building all of their vehicle sold in America on American soil, uses a large rate of parts sourced from local and regional manufacturers
And moving into the lithium refining business on us soil which is fantastic as china dominates that industry.
