this is me overthinking things.

looking at brooksby vs evans. the line is practically dead even. both guys are around -300 to win a set. and if you want to bet that the match will only go 2 sets, it's -150. so here's my question... whoever wins the first set... will the other guy still be around -300 to win the 2nd set? or do they normally significantly shift the odds, so that the guy who won the first set is likely to be favored in the 2nd set?

more specifically... i like evans to win a set. but i don't like laying -330. so say he loses the first set, would there usually be a good opportunity to bet evans to win the 2nd set live at a much nicer price?

just curious if you've paid any attention to this and noticed how they adjust the lines after the first set.

For what it is worth when you have matches like this (especially when it is on carpet or grass) just bet the Over. The Over 23.5 games at even money looks good if ya ask me.

And no ya didn't ask me, but I answered anyway.:kurby

no, i appreciate that. i've done pretty well betting some overs recently. had a very large bet (for me) on evans/paul over today.

and i was looking at this over. seems almost too easy for this matchup. which was why i was thinking about keeping an eye on it and betting the winner of set 1 to win set 2. the contrarian in me wants to hit the under.

FWIW, while i was typing my original question, brooksby went from -110 to -120 on DK. hmmmm...

ha! i may stay off that total. or bet it small.

i'm now trying to decide if i want to hammer moutet. just feels like a good matchup for him, against a young player who is very inexperienced on grass. who is also riding high after a big win.
