Edit: Damn, just noticed this was long AF. As always, I’m using voice to text so bear with me.

Hope everyone is well. Been a busy time for Rev. My youngest leaves for college tomorrow morning. Kinda sad knowing things will never be exactly the same. But, both of my kids are just 75 miles west on I 10 and I’ll make it to several football games this year so we’ll definitely get to see them both.

Figured it’d be a good time to stop in and give my perspective on the Goings on. I watched that eunuch Swalwell talk yesterday about deployment of the National Guard to make sure things didn’t spiral a lot of control in Los Angeles last month, and the deployment of National Guard to make sure DC violent crime rate dips. Sounds like DC crime rate has been tapering off according to the numbers, but when the nations capital is the 10th most violent city in the country by FBI rate, I’m glad to see something get done. I’ll admit that one of my least favorite things about Europe is how it’s so common to see armed military. France, Italy and Belgium in particular have tons of armed military presence. I’ve never loved that, so I do get why people would complain.

With that said, I’m here to tell you that there’s absolutely nothing criminal about national guard deployment to Los Angeles, or DC. I’m assuming most of you already know this. Swalwell was just being an idiot.

More importantly, I’ve been focused on economy. As you guys know, that is what interests me the most. The rest of this nonsense, DEI, National Guard deployment criminality, socialist winning New York City primary, Epstein , etc mean. Nothing to me.

Let me bring up Epstein briefly. I didn’t care about Epstein during the Biden era. I don’t care about Epstein now. Release all the information. Why not. Release all of it. We all know there isn’t a client list, but just release it. I believe Dershowitz when he said That no current members of Congress or other current politicos are implicated of any wrongdoing in the documents , so I personally think it’s best to release all the information since it’s not going to affect us geopolitically. Pipe dream for anyone who thinks Trump was involved, because we all know the information would’ve released leaked or somehow shared with the public during the Biden years. Admittedly , I didn’t think it was best to release all the information when Biden was in office for national security and in the event top level USA officials were boning teenage and barely legal girls. at this point, I think maybe it would simmer things down a bit to do so. But I digress. Economics is the agenda today.

Interesting That The PPI jump Wednesday didn't affect market. SPX finished flat. Wall Street still betting the September rate cuts are on.

If DJT is successful in applying a consumption tax to help balance budget then pay down debt, im going to be shocked and it will mean that he truly is crazy like a fox instead of plain crazy.

Let's think about this. If DJT said income tax will be levied against all Americans to offset the debt, then almost no one besides me would be on board with it. Yes, I’m pro a regressive tax increase along with deeper tax cuts to balance the budget in 26. Obviously implementation of a regressive tax ( or even a progressive income tax) for these purposes would receive bipartisan backlash. I’m obviously in the minority in my position here.

Anyway, so DJT implemented this trade plan. of course he gets the reflexive pushback from the left. But he keeps the majority of the right. so now by raising average tariffs to 18% ( with consumers paying 22% now and up to 55-60% by fall) he essentially levies a consumption tax. This is awesome. a consumption tax is far better than income tax bc it’s regressive meaning the lower brackets pay as well. instead of having 80% opposition from the public , he only has 55% opposition.

The two tribes fight each other about this trade war aka consumption tax without realizing what's going on. Next thing you know we're operating with a balanced budget ( if DJT and congress do the job in 2026 they couldn't get done this year) and somehow we escape his four year term with the same or lower national debt than when he started. All the while he's focused on deregulation and bringing in tons of foreign and corporate investment in USA manufacturing.

Can I get a God bless America “up in here?!”

You said you would consider the Trump presidency a failure if he did't lower the debt. He's on track to add at least $4T. 4

Keep moving those goal posts.

You were convinced he had nothing to do with Project 2025 and had no plan to lower taxes for the super rich. Oh well.

If left up to me, we’d operate in a tax system of universal participation. I think the best would be 16% flat tax for all individuals, partnerships, LLC, s-corp, and corporations with no deductions no exceptions. I came up with 16% because the 15% suggested GPT came back with a shortfall. At 16%, we not only increase tax revenue from last year, but everyone pays, and we can reduce IRS costs from 400-500b annually by 50-75%.

we should balance this budget by reducing defense spending* , reducing entitlements , reduce IRS expenses , and increase revenue from my tax plan. We could then take the extra 2% I speak of and apply directly to the debt until we get to a manageable level, at which time we would temporarily suspend the 2% debt relief tax until further notice.

* should be easy to cut defense spending some. I’m sure that there’s plenty of ways, not to mention Trump administration added some immigration and board stuff to defense that needs to come out.

I think that plan would be more effective than the “consumption tax” Trump is applying now. But I appreciate that he’s trying to get something done.

Everyone in my circle knows my goal for DJ T is national debt reduction . That’s what I was focused on here and that’s how I’ll be judging this man . I want the debt at 36.1 t or below in dec 2028. Obviously it’s very difficult undertaking historically speaking. Seems so likely he’ll get the job which means you’ll have an unfavorable rating for me in general. On a positive note, the worst estimates at this point would place him second behind George Bush as presidents this century in terms of national debt added by term.

1. W spent peanuts compared to all of these guys despite his war.
2. DJT 2nd term 4.1 t projected
3. Obama 2nd term 4.2 t
4. Obama 1st term 5.8 t
5. DJT first term 7.5 t
6. Biden 8.5 t
