Is this because you believe it is wrong in some way (e.g. bad for society, immoral, however defined), or because you would expect that the powers that be would legislate against it?
I'm guessing the latter.

As for as the examples you cite, ain't it just a service providing an administrator between two other parties, and their agreed on competitive wager. Sort of how the stock market used to work, ain't it?
