It’s tragic to see a revival of the Christian faith (the Lord often works good through evil acts) lessened by non biblical harponzo (rapture) date setting. That’s spiritual warfare at its best. It’s unfortunate but actually happens almost weekly in the eschatology section on social media.

I’ll give you my thoughts and time seeing as no Christian has responded if interested.

Being a christian I'll be happy to respond.
1st I don't have a clue about your rapture propaganda and could care less. Let's get down to brass tacks!

,I am the christian and you, the atheist. Let's discuss consequences of who is right and who is wrong. It is really quite simple and undisputable.

If I'm right it will be an eternal gift and give me comfort in my life's tribulations.
If I'm/we're wrong we will still benefit from the belief/ hope it affords us on events in life, death of those close to us and their/our life after death.

On other hand: it makes no diff if you/atheists are right or wrong. only thing you have to look forward to for you and family are WORMS after death.
What a dismal hope/outlook on life!!!!

Right are wrong...it is undeniably apparent who benefits from their beliefs.

Side note.Question for you and rest of atheists.
Why is it you don't find any religious entities initiating animosity toward atheists (on this forum or elsewhere)?
Answer. We don't care. If you have no hope-nothing to look forward to except worms, we are content in knowing your dreams will come true.

Next. the real question. Why are atheists so intent on trying to discredit all religions.
Answer is simple. They want to drag us down to the same hopeless attitude/beliefs they have.

Have news for them: WON'T happen;

My personal note to them: Enjoy your lives as well as your thoughts afford you!
Show me who you walk with and I'll tell you who you are.

The verse you referenced, Matthew 24:36 (and similarly Mark 13:32), states that no one knows the day or hour of the Second Coming, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

This was spoken by Jesus during His earthly ministry, reflecting a self-imposed limitation of His divine knowledge while in human form—a concept theologians often link to the kenosis (from Philippians 2:7, where Jesus “emptied himself” to take on human nature).

As a Christ follower, my response was to the original poster as no one had responded very glad to see responses from other Christians.

Maranatha.

Excellent points DTB as well.

#1. a post mocking and scoffing Christians is made blatantly calling Jesus Christ and Christ followers “bullshit”.

#2. I respond stating not everyone who says they are a Christian are actual Christians and the result of date setting takes away from the current revival.

#3. I inquire if you would like someone to take time out of their day to answer you regarding the Rapture by a Christ follower.

#4. DTB responds. Old man responds. I respond.

#5. DTB asks if anyone wanted to engage in the discussion.

#6. And the response just further emphasizes the stereotype.

Hey guys. Who started the post? I will say one thing. I will never lose faith that one of you eventually finds Jesus as a savior.

Was it not a thief on a cross that was saved at his final moments? Documented. Witnessed by both Jews and Romans. No traditions, no good works, no chanting or applying ash for public clout, no sacrifice at an altar (which are about to begin again btw).

It may be in your last fleeting moment, I pray you remember the invitation because He will hear you and you’re only saved by God’s grace. All the western civilization prosperity gospel and mega church ho hum is not being a Christ follower. Jesus was a rebel!

Read the Beautitudes. Read the Book of John. You guys are smart.

But don’t play them victim, the post made by you yyz, started the engagement and it will always provide a disciple of Jesus a way in to your hearts.

On the course!
Yes. I mocked Christianity the same as I mock any other religion. Or, flat Earthers. Or, a bunch of other shit that I find silly.

The most famous religious folks throughout history have been the ones making money off of suckers by promising them eternal salvation.

Every culture has leaders who need to create a "boogeyman" to keep the population in line. A rational person might wonder why these deities never show up? From ANY religion. Shit. 2000+ years is a long time to watch your "plan" fail miserably!

Now, it certainly isn't doing any harm with grandma believing there is a great being keeping an eye on her, and as long as she says, "I'm sorry" every Sunday for any fuck ups she been a part of that week, she'll be ushered into eternal bliss. Good for her.

Personally, I don't need a stick and carrot to live "the right way". I do it because it's the right way to live my life.

Oh, and if there is a reckoning and people will be called to meet their maker, I think some of the Christians on this site might be in for a surprise.

It wasn’t atheists saying the rapture was coming. I believe it was Christians. The thought of it is absurd to some of us. Hopefully you can forgive us.

Yyz - thanks for taking the time. And you’re not wrong. Somewhat over generalized it but I definitely see your perspective.

WHN - well played and always lol. Still read the Beautitudes or John if you have time. 👍🏼

Also, everything that has played out previously currently is playing out again.

The Rapture as the Mirror
The rapture acts as the pivotal “symmetry mirror” or chiasm, a literary structure common in Hebrew Scripture where elements invert and parallel each other (e.g., A-B-C-B’-A’).

Example
IMG_9604.png

Here, it bridges the Old Testament type (Enoch) with its New Testament fulfillment (the church). The note “(with 7s on either side)” highlights the numeric symmetry: seven generations to Enoch’s rapture on one side, and a corresponding “seven” on the other, often interpreted as the seven church ages in Revelation 2-3, which complete the church’s earthly phase before its removal (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; 5:9).

That’s 2000 years of God’s Grace in the Church Age to us (2 days for God) that is about to be playing out shortly when the restrainer is removed.

I think the powers that be were a couple years early and are waiting emphasis on ready position.

Final words on the rapture next post.

So yeah. The “September 23rd date setters” don’t understand that they changed the number of calendar months hundreds of years back. So 13 days additionally and a full moon would be Oct 6-7th if they were watchers. Some may even try to cash in on their error or may have done so purposefully.

Matthew 6:34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” (

See ya in the clouds….

John 14:6

So, if we're all still here a week from now, someone will rework the math again?

I’ve lived my life the same way since I was a child. When I’m called to come home, I’ll come running. Until that day, I’ll enjoy each blessing, and live a full earthly life within the commandments of my Lord Jesus Christ.

My wife and I already spoke on the topic. You come into the world alone, and you will be judged alone. So enjoy today’s friends and blessings.

And I always tell those that date set, “Why focus energy on this topic?! Whoever is right, won’t be here to enjoy the clout anyways.”
