For a few games stretch fairly early in the year (about the time he 1st took off in the positive direction), the Brewers used an opener for Priester. I think it was like 4 of 5 starts. It got him in a groove. Theory was to not have to face the top of the order 3 times. He was like a deer in headlights in his playoff start at Wrigley. He grew up a Cubs fan and was asked about it a bunch leading up to it. So for tonight, they figured he'd miss Ohtani and Freeman to start, be less amped up, and can pitch 5 or 6 innings if it goes well.There's priester!!!!!
