I love how we all torture ourselves trying to be sharp. We do this catch-22, double-reverse logic---like... everyone's on this team, or Vegas is begging for this money, or the fix is in, or whatever. Sometimes, bad teams are just bad teams. The Jets are awful and dysfunctional. They may cover--hell, being the NFL, they might win. But as Slum eloquently expressed, if I'm wrong, I'd rather be on the Pats as opposed to trying to be sharp, hating the bet, and then watching the Pats rout them 31-3 or whatever. I just find it interesting how we convince ourselves that in one situation, the fav is legit and other times, we go through hoops trying to justify a really bad dog. For what it's worth, I'd be a little more suspicious if tonight's line were shorter. 13 at home doesn't seem out of line to me given the train wreck on the other side.

You’re both right in my opinion. Depends on the situation the week and the day. I feel going with what Vegas needs more on Monday night than any other time.
Had an old bookie in Chicago that would call a needed Monday night play Mother’s Day! Not sure the reasoning but guessing it was his way of saying be careful! Of the fkr was going to buy me flowers if he didn’t get paid!
