YTD: 61-63 (-4.13u) - treading water still

Twins' starter Taj Bradley comes into this game vs Cleveland with a 4-1 record for an ERA of 1.63 and 34 K's in 27 2/3 IP and is facing his old team. Rays starter Drew Rasmussen has been effective as well, going just 2-3 overall but with a nice ERA of 2.45. Both of these pitchers have had nice starts but digging a little deeper, Bradley has a career ERA of 4.61 on the road and Rasmussen has a career ERA vs the Twins of 4.15. In addition, both teams have above-average offenses with Minnesota averaging 5.08 runs/game and TB averaging 4.83 runs/game. Play Twins/Rays Over 7.5

Cleveland (Williams) -125 over Toronto (Scherzer) (2x)
-Tonight, Cleveland starts RHP Gavin Williams, who is off to a fantastic year in 2026, going 4-1 with and ERA of 2.12 and 40 K's in 29 2/3 IP. In addition, he is a perfect 4-0 at home with an ERA of 1.10. In addition, he was 2-0 vs Toronto last year. Meanwhile, the Blue Jays (standing at just 10-14) counter with RHP Max Scherzer who is 1-3 this year with an ERA of 7.05 and has seen better days. He is 0-3 his last 3 starts vs the Guardians The Jays are averaging just 3.80 runs/game and will have a hard time bettering that against Williams who holds a career record of 2-0 vs Toronto with and ERA of 2.76 in 3 appearances. Play Cleveland with confidence in this one.

Atlanta (Holmes) -137 over Philadelphia (Painter) (2x)
-Atlanta come into this game having won 10 of 12 games and, at 18-8, have the best record in baseball. Their offense scores an average of 5.7 runs/game (28 runs in their last 3) and their run differencial of +62 is also the best in baseball. Tonight, the Braves start RHP Grant Holmes who is a perfect 3-0 at home for an ERA of 2.08 and his team has already beaten the Phillies on 4/19 4-2. On the other hand, there is something wrong with the Phillies this year. They have lost 9-straight and have the WORST record in baseball at 8-17 (3-7 on the road). They are just 2-11 vs teams with a winning record. They are averaging just 3.56 runs/game and have a run differencial of -51 (worst in baseball). Tonight the Phills start RHP Lance Painter who is making only his 4th start of his career, one of those starts a loss to Atlanta this year. Finally, the Braves have won 4-straight games in this heated rivalry, dating back to last year. Last night's 1-run loss marked the end of a 9-game streak where the Phillies lost a game by 2 runs or more. Play the Braves tonight

Atlanta (Holmes) RL +140 over Philadelphia (Painter) (1x)
-See above write-up. The Braves have won 4-straight games in this heated rivalry, all by 4 runs or more. Last night's 1-run loss marked the end of a 9-game streak where the Phillies lost a game by 2 runs or more. Play the Braves on the R/L

Pittsburgh (Skenes) vs Milwaukee (Woodruff) Over 7 -105 (2x)
-The main difference in Skenes this year vs the last couple of season is he is FINALLY getting run support. All 5 of his starts in 2026 have gone WAY over the total averaging almost 14 runs per game. Despite his dominance this year, he rarely goes more then 5-6 innings before giving way to an average bullpen. In 2 road starts this year, Skenes has only gone 4 2/3 IP with not the greatest of numbers. In 3 starts vs the Brewers in 2025 he had an ERA of 5.79 going 2-1 to the over. Meanwhile, the Brewers start RHP Brandon Woodruff has made 4 starts this season with the Over going 3-0-1. Finally, both teams have been scoring runs in heaps this year, with Milwaukee scoring 5.17 runs/game and Pittsburgh scoring 4.92 runs per game. Play Pittsburgh/Milwaukee over 7...........

NY Yankees (Warren) RL +110 over Houston (McCullers Jr.) (2x)
-As I have mentioned many times this year, The Astros are a complete fade team this year. They stand at 10-16 good for last place in the AL West. Houston starter Lance McCullers Jr. is totally struggling after years of injuries, going just 1-3 this year with a high ERA of 6.21. the Yankees are in first place in the AL East with a 16-9 mark winning 6-straight and 8 of 10, with all 6 winning by 2 or more runs. Their pitching has been excellent, allowing just 9 runs during their 6 game winning streak and New York starter Will Warren has been outstanding with the Yankees going 4-0 in his home starts for an ERA of 2.29. In addition, their bullpen ranks 9th in the majors to backup Warren.

-After allowing 2 ER's in 11 appearances as a reliever, Bryan Hudson makes his first career start tonight. He faces the Nats and Miles Mikolas, who is one of the biggest gas cans in the majors. This season, he is 0-3 with a 9.15 ERA in 5 appearances (3 starts) with 39 baserunners in 19 2/3 IP. In addition, he is 26-38 his last 3 seasons with every season having and ERA above 4.78. Play the White Sox.

St Louis (Pallante) +135 over Seattle (Kirby) (2x)
-The Mariners are just 11-15 this season and next to last in the AL West, scoring just 3.88 runs per game and just 1-9 on the road, while the Cards are 14-10, sitting 1.5 games back of the Cubs/Reds in the NL Central. The Cards start RHP Andre Pallante, who is 2-0 at home this season at home allowing just 1 ER in 10 inning pitched. The Mariners counter with RHP George Kirby, who on the surface looks like he's having a good season, but digging deeper, he is 0-2 on the road, giving up 7 runs in 14 IP. Back in sept 2025, his team got the win vs the Cards (at home) but Kirby was not sufficient, giving up 3 runs on 7 hits in just 4 IP........Play the Cardinals as a nice home dog.

Also, and I'm too lazy to dig up the #s, but I believe Kirby is a LOT better in his division. Against everyone else, he's a different pitcher.

I think the Jays should move Mad Max to the bullpen
