Any of you guys into it? I just got my fishing license, first one in 20 years. Time to start buying all the stuff I threw away when I moved from the lake.....kind of a nut kick but it'll be fun.
Cheers!I love fishing. Almost all for walleyes but will catch smallmouth bass and northerns while doing it. I used to love to come into this forum until all the local yahoos took over with their childish posts. Been meaning to post my Canadian walleye trips the past three years but gave up to the clique. I have two trips planned in July n August and will post pics of the children stay away 🎣
Results ?Cheers!
I now live on water and have a dock I can fish off so I plan on getting somewhat serious about it this year. The cove I live on is supposed to be a great spot for catching crappie. This lake supposedly has a lot of bass, but I have only caught catfish and bluegill thus far. I need to hook up with someone that knows what they're doing because I'm clearly struggling with just about every aspect.
I've only caught a few catfish while out on the pontoon. From the dock I haven't caught shit but my neighbor's kid reeled in a couple (one crappie, one bluegill). Results ?
Try some minnows if you haven't already to see what's aroundI've only caught a few catfish while out on the pontoon. From the dock I haven't caught shit but my neighbor's kid reeled in a couple (one crappie, one bluegill).
had some success with thisI've only caught a few catfish while out on the pontoon. From the dock I haven't caught shit but my neighbor's kid reeled in a couple (one crappie, one bluegill).
Thanks for the tip.Stumbled on to this thread Garry. Old School has lowdown on game fish. I am about catfish! Best tasting filets "no bones" with exception of crappie.Ya just can't beat crappie. You can find catfish and others for sale...but seldom IF EVER crappie.
My tip on catfish.. Since you live in cove there must be inlet that runs in cove when it rains. Fish feed on worms and other things that wash into cove.
When it hasn't rained in a while wait until it does and fish with minnows where waters come into lake. Fishing while it rains for best results.
