St Louis' starter Dustin May has had 2 starts on the road this season, going 0-2 with an ERA of 15.96 allowing 17 hits in just 7 1/3 IP. In his only start in 2025 (on the road) against Pittsburgh, he took the loss, giving up 6 ER's in 5 1/3 IP in an eventual 10-3 pirate victory. -San Diego had their 6 game winning streak broken last night when the D-backs rallied from 7-1 down to win 12-7 (11 unanswered runs) but the Padres are still 13-2 in their last 15 games. Tonight, the Pads roll out RHP Randy Vasquez (who has been one of SD's biggest surprises this year) who has gone 5-0 at home with an ERA of 1.88 with only 1 outing giving up more than 1 run. Meanwhile, The Cubs start LHP Matthew Boyd who, in 2 road starts this year, is 0-2 giving up 12 runs in 4 1/3 IP! In addition, in his only start in 2025 (in San Diego) he took the loss. Boyd has a career road record of 24-44 with a 5.06 ERA over 110 appearances.
