I've played in some seriously shitty conditions and it's just not fun. As much as I would like to play in Scotland/Ireland, the bad weather threat has always kept me away.

One of my friends took his family to Scotland this summer. They played the Old Course, and three more big named spots. $50,000 for six days of vacation, all-in.

Weather was fine, but it's the same price for shitty weather!

I'm not playing in a drizzle. Not fun at all.

I did start playing regularly again this summer. 5-6 times a month. Looking forward to next year.

I can't imagine spending $50K on a vacation. They must have flown first class? If I'm going to fly for 10 hours it would have to be first class tho or I'm not going.
