    Computer transfer question

    Well I gave up on my desktop computer and now I have a laptop I have my old hard drive as a slave in my other desktop How can I transfer pictures and such my my desktop to my laptop? Can I connect the 2 with an ethernet cord? Or they are both on a wireless network...does that help???
