    Hot water heater questions.

    My hot water heater is about 14 years old. Being outside more during summer Ive noticed that the thing runs all of the time. The exhaust pipe is near our patio. How long do these things last? How do you know when to replace it? It's a natural gas heater. We've never run out of hot water...
