Walked in my bosses office this morning......

Whew! That is some gut rot. Pretty metallic tasting if I remember correctly. But it is bourbon at work, so not terrible. My favorite grand-parent (actually my mom's step-dad since her father passed away when she was nine years old) died when I was about 10 years old. We had an awesome...

    Daytona 500

I've been to two races. Both at Atlanta. Unfortunately, never one of the nighttime races. I imagine that would be even better. I really enjoyed being at the race. An incredible sporting event to experience live. Strangely enough, I actually enjoy listening to NASCAR on the radio when driving...

Agree. The only reason I can't switch fully is that I have been a megaphone about the beauties of bourbon my entire life. I can slip in Jameson every now and then and just blame it on my Irish heritage.

What would be boring about that?? :0008 btw, I don't understand or watch NASCAR, but the revenue results are very tough to argue with.

    Hockey speaks for itself

Are you serious? How about "no fighting" That would pretty much cover it. Could you still have an incident like this? Sure. There is the Detroit brawl and all... 6-5 -- I agree

    Hockey speaks for itself

It's because every game and every minute counts in Olympic hockey. So the players actually play the sport instead of acting like children. The NHL is fully to blame because they could very easily stop the fighting if they wanted to. A few rule changes, and the behavior would stop immediately...

    Hockey speaks for itself

Oh yeah. The "code". No mom jokes, either, or it's OUTSIDE NOW! And, yet, all other contact sports survive. I mean, THRIVE, compared to the NHL. Baffling.

    Hockey speaks for itself

Is fighting actually a part of the game or not? Do you score additional points for fighting? Do you increase your standings by winning a fight? Yes, this is an extreme example. But it is exemplary of what is wrong with this sport. The Detroit brawl was so far outside of what basketball is...

I think you'll actually be quite "entertained" by it. It's kind of unreal.

My buddy poured a shot of bourbon into a glass of Stoudt's Imperial last night. The beer is 9% by itself. Let's just say it was a sipping experience. Now I'm waiting on my first meeting of the day to start before bball tournament... :0003

The Islanders-Penguins game is self-explanatory as to why the sport (which could be a great sport) will always be sub-tier. Pathetic.
