lots of pitches for smoltz this inning. looks like it will indeed come down to the atlanta bullpen. and im not likin the thought of that. productive inning for the pads, even though its a bit paradoxical.
that was my assumption when making the bet. braves bullpen has been horrible at times this year so i made sure to check smoltz pitch count before betting into such an obscene number. pads have been pretty impatient today and that should keep smoltz on the hill longer. we'll see.
i cant believe i just did this, but i laid -355 on atlanta in-game with pinnacle's second chance line.
smoltz has only thrown 50-some pitches and san diego isnt making him work at all. meanwhile peavy has 11 Ks but is getting close to 100 pitches already. might be only 1 more inning for peavy...
hate to say it (for the sake of ruffling feathers within the thread) but sun is right. line moves mean next to nothing at this point in the playoffs, specifically at this point within each series. even the most casual fan has seen these teams play a zillion times. is anybody privy to information...
wasn't that the logic in game five? pistons were laying a completely ridiculous 11 points. cavaliers won outright.
then the pistons came back and were still laying a ridiculous 6 points. cavaliers covered easily again.
frankly, i think the books have putting out bad numbers on this series...
i could never bring myself to lay 9/5 on arizona on a straight bet, but they have a significant edge on the mound tonight. webb has been great and its amazing that for all of the arms atlanta produces, they are throwing a retread like travis smith tonight. dbacks appear to be the unequivocal...
watching this cleveland game is like watching batting practice. balls hammered all over the place. i wouldnt write off cleveland just yet. both teams getting good swings.
playing seattle/san diego under
sold a half run and played under 8 (+113)
ashamed to admit it, but im a believer in gil meche. he's maddeningly inconsistent but when he brings it, he can be very good. the walks are a bit disconcerting but he's averaging almost a strikeout an inning over his...
bingo. its scary how i remember that game vividly. wade miller started. pitched a gem. i believe it was a 7 run lead heading into the 9th.
the scariest part?
the first two pirates were retired in the inning.
the ENTIRE rally started with 2 outs and NOBODY ON.
im not sure if theres a beat...
wow. id love to be in your shoes if this would qualify as your worst beat ever. :scared and i say that seriously because i know you are a vet thats been doing this for awhile. but these types of beats are fairly routine in mlb, as sad as it sounds.
playing san francisco (-125)
schmidt started off the season lacking command and issuing too many walks but he's gotten that under control his last 4 starts (25 Ks/ 5 BB). and whether the long term stats back it up or not, have always had very good success playing ON a team that just lost 1-0...
you could have said the same thing about game 4
.... and game 5
.... and game 6
the cavs won outright in game 3, then were getting MORE points in game 4 at home. the game 4 line clearly said pistons.
but the cavs covered again and won outright
then the cavs went to detroit for game 5. the...
from a fundamental approach, two good lefthanders going at it. sabathia has been surprisingly sharp since coming off the DL.
but you also have to wonder how much energy is going to be at the ballpark with the rainy/overcast weather in cleveland and the city's biggest game in the last decade...
similar to the spurs/mavs game yesterday, home team needs to control the pace in the 2h to prolong their series/season.
clips will force phoenix to score in the halfcourt if they want to comeback.
and with an outside chance that the clips could bust it open and push this toward 20, scrubs...
my lord, do you really think im concerning myself with other people's wagers? i didn't even notice what side and total you played until you referenced it just now. i only read that part where you said dallas and san antonio aren't detroit or cleveland. and as good as dallas is, they would get...
