    I have tivo and have never had a phone line connected. It updates through the sattelite feed. The phone line is only for pay per view orders. The reciever calls in the ppv orders so they can bill you. I can still do PPV I just order online instead with the remote.

    well, A lawyer took his case pro bono. There filing a criminal and civil case against the VP/company. He said for at least 200K. His attorney said that there is a 95% chance this will be settled before it ever gets to court. I'll keep you guys posted.
