QUESTION just to be sure about Car battery thats only 1 yr old
assuming you had no charging system warning light come on at any time recently....even so, still could be alternator, voltage regulator (they can have intermittent issues) cable and/or ground connections, slipping belt... to properly test the alternator amperage, you have to do a full load...- Terryray
