Ordinarily, if someone held a gun to my head and said "You have to pick a winner somewhere on the planet today", I would tell them to go ahead and pull the trigger.
But today, your Wild Union had all the figures, 2 pace horses scratched, no claims and it was off to the market. An old timer once told me, if a horse leads by more than 1 in the stretch and runs away from the field, chancces are he'll run away from the next. 3/5 was a steal!
