Go Habs Go!!
7 games on the card today! Let's make it a winning night and make up for yesterday!

Montreal in Boston: Is Hackett going to give Andre Savard any heat after this one? :D

Toronto in Tampa Bay: Leafs pounded on the Panthers last night, will they have some offense left in the tank for Khabibulin and the Lightning, who received "Capital punishment" two nights ago? ;)

Philadelphia in Ottawa: The Flyers' banged up offensive lineup against the Sens. Looks like Hossa and Arvedsson will be back in the lineup.

Florida in Pittsburgh: The Panthers at the Igloo off a big-time loss to the Leafs. Lemieux and the Penguins looking for wins. ;)

Colorado in Detroit: Joseph is struggling... really struggling. The Avs are playing good hockey of late and will try to continue their fine play against the powerful Wings. Expect Legac? in nets... so the Wings have a chance in this one!

NY Rangers in St-Louis: The Blues should of came out of Dallas with a W; Turco stole a point from them last night. Sather and the Rangers will try to correct their defensive woes, undisciplined plays and lack of emotion overnight... I must see this! :director:

Chicago in Calgary: Looks like the Flames have a good chance in this one. ;)

Early leans: Tampa Bay, Pittsburgh & Calgary.

Good luck to everyone tomorrow! :)

The line movement on Calgary is kinda scaring me:eek:, but I'm sticking with it. I think it's a very strong play. Would love to hear your take on TB tonite, I'm leaning that way, too.

Good luck tonite, Cyra. Let's get our money back:D

Write-up for earlier picks last night:

TAMPA BAY (-115)
Tampa Bay is coming off a tough loss against divisional competition in the Caps. Grahame did not have a great performance and the Caps power play was hot. Khabibulin will be in nets tonight and look for him to outshine Kidd in nets. The Lightning know they need to be teams in front of them in order to stay in the playoff run. We should get nothing less than a great effort by them. If you add in a spectacular effort by Khabibulin, this should mean a vicotry for the Bolts. The Leafs are coming off a big time win in Florida and will be a tough team to beat. Kidd is in nets and don't expect him to play a bad one either. This is also an important conference matchup since they want to distance themselves from the lower pack. I truly believe in Khabibulin shutting the door tonight.

CALGARY (-110)
Calgary is coming off a 3-2 loss to the Ducks, who have been one of the hottest teams in the past few weeks with an 8-3-0-1 record. The Flames are in a desperate need of points and are facing a struggling Hawks team who have been lacking good defensive efforts, who lost last night. Calgary will be ready for this one and look for the big guns to shine tonight. Chicago is in the hunt for a playoff spot and are now on the outside looking in. Daze has been an important loss for the Hawks. Both of these teams will not make the playoffs. I just have a feeling on this one, not much facts to mention.

PITTSBURGH -.5 (-140)
Mario Lemieux has a lot to do with this play. If the Leafs can around Florida's D like they did last night, what do you think Lemieux will do? No Mike Keenan system can overcome his ability and Ozolinsh's departure and Pavel Trnka -3 last night do not hold much promise for the Panthers. The line is a little expensive to play against a Panther's team that usually stay close in every game but there is a subjective thing to mention in this game. It doesn't look like anyone know who will be in nets tonight for the Pens. One thing I can assure is that one of them will be leaving for the minors during the weekend and the one that plays tonight will probably have nothing but a lot of motivation to prove to management that he is the one. If Hedberg is in the the decision is already doen but expect hedberg to show a good effort coming off his injury. The Panthers are not going to make the playoffs and the Penguins as well. But the Penguins will try to stay in as long as possible in order to make sure the fans keep coming to their games as long as possible...

Looks like you go down, I go down. So here's to hoping you sweep the board:D.

About the Hawks, it's quite a long travel going from Minny to Calgary. Last time the Hawks did a similar US-Canada B2B combo, they lost to Pitt, and then Mont just before the All-Star break. Hawks are 2-8 this yr on 0 days rest. They're 2-7 this yr in G2 of B2B, just as bad the yr before. I've got a bunch more, but not gonna waste my breath since you're already on Calgary:D.

Good luck tonite!!:D

Thanks ddubs! Good supporting numbers! By the way, Jamie McLennan will be in nets tonight vs the Hawks, as confirmed by The Score. I hope this doesn't change the dynamics...

NY RANGERS +.5 (+130) 0.5 units
NY RANGERS (+175) 0.5 units
Since Sather is behind the bench, the Rangers haven't won yet. They have played against a hot Colorado team , which they outshot and lost in OT and they outshot a "hungry-for-victory" Sens team, in which they lost this one due to undisciplined penalties which resulted in 3 power play goals for the Sens. They will have to win a big one eventually and I think they will come together tonight. Blackburn has to be sharp and needs to keep them in the game for them to have a chance at victory. The Blues tied the Stars last night but should of clearly came out with the win. Turco was outstanding. Johnson also played well but did not have to make as many quality saves as Turco did. It will be a good test for them to play a second game without Doug Weight. The 1st game is usually a little easier as you pump yourself up in the dressing room but you eventually realize that he brings some emptyness to the team. At this price, the Rangers are worth a shot.
