stanford (-6) 4 units. this is a tough one for me, because i really like this iowa team. nothing flashy, just a well-coached group of blue collar guys who go out and play hard and do their job. and i know i am likely very much in the minority here, but i doubt they've recovered from that big ten championship game yet. that was a game they absolutely should have won. right up until they were manhandled during a 22-play game winning td drive. and i'd be curious to know what it was like to see a team that dominated you like that get absolutely destroyed yesterday. i know, i know, everyone says they'll have no trouble bouncing back and getting fired up for the rose bowl. and maybe i'm wrong and they'll play great today. but my money says we don't see the same iowa team today that we saw most of the year. because, believe me, this play has nothing to do with stanford. i don't think they were anything special this year. well, other than mccaffrey. and hogan can look very good at times. but this bet has everything to do with iowa still trying to get the number of that truck that hit them in the 4th quarter 4 weeks ago.
