Two nice wins last night in the NBA. I am passing on today's NBA but I have two in the NHL. Good luck
I am going to be in Las Vegas starting Friday so I am going to have a single weekend update posted on Friday morning. I will have my plays for Friday in the NBA in that update, as well as recommendations on plays for Saturday and Sunday in the NBA and possibly a Super Bowl play. Since no lines will be out, I will not be updating the Saturday and Sunday NBA plays on my record, but there is a strong chance that I will be playing those games while I am in Vegas.
If anyone is going to be in Vegas for the Super Bowl party and would like to meet up, please email me at nick_douglas@mac.com and I will forward you my cell phone number. Or just look around the Sunset Station sportsbook all weekend for a really tall, thin guy with relatively long hair that looks like the guy on my Mad Jack's page.
1/30 NHL Plays:
CALGARY +1/2 +145 over Detroit 500/725
Yzerman will miss his second straight game and the Red Wings offense looked off against Edmonton with him out. Turek has really been playing better lately. Calgary got out of their scoring doldrums at Minnesota and I expect enough offense tonight to beat the Wings. Calgary has matched up great with them all year in going 2-1 head to head.
Columbus +1/2 +125 over ANAHEIM 500/625
Anaheim comes home with one day of rest off a great trip, a situation I always look for, especially with a team like Anaheim that has struggled this season in those spots. Columbus has started putting together some offense. Giguire has been super for Anaheim but in watching his last few games, he has actually been pretty ordinary, it is just the team in front of him that has been playing great. Columbus matches up well with the Ducks as they have won every game against them this season.
