2001-2002 NHL Record: 53-71, -2158
2001-2002 NBA Record: 46-50, +6481
Yesterday: 1-1 NHL, +225
A decent night last night with the split and good profit in the NHL. We have reached the NHL All Star break and obviously I expected to have much better results to this point betting hockey. I feel confident that I will end up in the black this season. I just need to stay conservative and dedicated with my plays to maximize my results.
I have one play in the NBA tonight. I also played one NHL futures bet that is listed below. Good luck.
If anyone is going to be in Vegas for the Super Bowl party and would like to meet up, please email me at nick_douglas@mac.com and I will forward you my cell phone number. Or just look around the Sunset Station sportsbook all weekend for a really tall, thin guy with relatively long hair that looks like the guy on my Mad Jack's page.
1/31 NHL Plays:
Vancouver to win the Stanley Cup 75:1 -- 100/7500
Vancouver is the most complete team in hockey when Cloutier is on his game. They have incredible speed and scoring depth. On defense they go four deep with first rate defensemen. Crawford is a Stanley Cup winning coach.
I placed this bet at Grand Central. I would still recommend a bet at 40:1, which is what most books have the Canucks listed at.
1/31 NBA Plays:
CLEVELAND PK +105 over Washington 500/525
Cavs have been playing some good ball lately, especially in terms of rebounding and defense. Hamilton makes his return for Washington and I have noticed a strong NBA trend of teams struggling in the first game after a top star returns.
1/31 NFL Plays: PASS
