Interesting line here - Miami 7-0 at home.
Opener -2 immediately jumped to -3.
Tonight drifted back to -2.
This Miami squad is overachieving this year. That said they always seem to play Duke or UNC tough at home. Coach L has these kids believing in his system. They love to shoot the three too. It would be the biggest win of the Coach L era to pull the upset.
While my first instinct is Duke all day long I got a feeling this is gonna be a dogfight. Miami did beat Duke in Cameron last year in OT thanks to Reggie.
Looking for opinions please. :0008

I am teasing Miami to plus 7 with Ravens to plus 10.5 for a good size play. Duke is not close to being the same team w/o Kelly but they are getting better production from Jefferson. Miami has only scored more than 80 once and that was in first game. Going to be a 63-60 type game either way. Might play the under also.

This is a BIG step up in competition for Miami. They haven't seen a backcourt this talented since maybe Arizona. Give the Hurricanes credit for beating a down UNC team on the road and for winning the games against lesser teams to this point. It's true Duke is missing Kelly but I don't think they stumble here. Having already played State on the road and having a feel for the intensity level will really help. Miami hasn't seen that yet. GL!

Miami has given up less than 60 points in nine out of last ten games. This game will be decided on who has better FT % and 3 pt %. Kadji is a handful. Jefferson may foul out and Hairston cannot stay with him. Murphy may have breakout game tonight.
I agree with you that if Duke can turn over Larkins and Scott they have the advantage. Would be nice to see Mason with a 20pt 20 rebound game. Going to be a great game.

This line and game stinks for bettors backing Duke.
Miami hasn't sold out a game in forever. It is being billed as the biggest game in UM history. Miami has NEVER let me repeat NEVER beaten a team ranked #1 in school history. Yet Miami beat Duke last year in Duke.
All of the smart handicappers here answer me this question please.
Why did the sportsbooks open DUKE only -2 or -130 ? Knowing Miami has never beaten a #1 before or knowing that Miami has won 2 of the last 10 vs Duke ?
I think Duke may go down tonight in an ESPN Dicky V upset.
This line could have easily been Duke -4 or -5.
And if not tell me this.
Why did it open -2 get pushed to -3 in the first hour and drift back down to -2 last night.
Yet today the causal everyday bettor logs into his book TODAY and sees DUKE -2 NO WAY I'm all over that and now its creeps back to -3.

Seen this Miami team play a couple times this year, unsure if their center is back or not. But I know they will try and dictate pace by slowing it down. Will not look too much into the line, but do like duke coming out with the win. That being said,.I like duke to cover on a short line.
