I feel like I have a pretty good gauge on the Caps right now, and yes they are hot.
But the caps are beat up and having won 9 in a row I see their streak ending here with their second game in 2 nights.

Neither John Erskine nor Eric Fehr will play tonight, according to Mike Vogel. Erskine was scratched against the Canadiens because of a cold, a team spokesman said, and Fehr was forced to leave the game in Montreal after suffering an upper-body injury. Their absences mean that Tyler Sloan and D.J. King will both be in the lineup tonight.
I doubt Backstrom goes either, he tested it yesterday and it was sore. its clear the caps want him as close to 100% as possible before bringing him back. Arnott being out doesn't help either. The 2 top centers for this team. Marcus Johansson has really filled in nicely but he can't do it all.
