Sens will be starting Prusek in nets tonight. Sens have been so inconsistent that I would stay away from them until they play 60 min. Redden is playing with a dinged up knee and is not playing as many minutes. All the pressure is on the Sens to perform at home tonight. Oilers will play loose and have dominated the Sens in past years until last year. Both are great skating teams and for some reason Oilers give the Sens problems. Prusek has not played since losing to LA and being out of game action that long I look for a high scoring game. Sens always tend to get into higher scoring games with Prusek in nets. Oilers pay nice tonight. As well liking the GS over. I think we will see lots of scoring tonight.

Playing:

Edm./Ott. o5.5(+105)(1 Unit)

GLTA!

Coyotes/Avs info - Forsberg, Kariya and Foote are out for the Avs along with a few other guy injured but these are the major injuries. Boucher has not been skating with the Coyotes and Zac Bierk is the permanent back-up. A trade looms real soon. Savage is expected back for the Coyotes. Who comes out of the line-up is anyones guess, but could be Daniel Cleary. Coyotes are winless in 8 games and all the problems I thought they would have from the start of the season are very obvious now. I figured their defense was too young and would make glaring mistakes and many games would go over. After they started 3-0 they have yet to win. Burke looks a step slower and they have no depth at forward. Teams are able to play a checking line against the Doan line and make the Coyotes beat them with the other lines which are average. Hope this helps. No leans, maybe keep fading the Coyotes. Maybe the over.

Other leans:

NYI - Dallas is overrated and average on D which has been a strenght of theirs in the past. NYI is playing great TEAM hockey.

Boston - SJ has been on the road forever. Bruins are rested and should jump on the Sharks early. That OT game tonight with the Devils spent the Sharks.

NYR - Have been at home for 8 games or so and now take to the road. NYR has played solid defensive hockey. Does Sather finally have the NYR buying into a system.

LA - It will be interesting to see how TB responds to their bad loss 2 nights ago at home to the Caps. LA needs to play a full 60 min. Andy Murray can not get into this stupid 1-2-2 system when they are 2 or 3 goals up. He must go with a 2-1-2. It is silly to send just one forward in high. Same thing in the NFL, the prevent defense prevents you from winning. The Kings had to hang on as they gave the Panthers all the momentum with this stupid system. I understand you are going to drop back a bit when up 2 or 3 goals but don't overdo it.

STL - Canucks in 3rd in 4 nights and Blues want the Canucks bad it seems. This rivalry heated up last year in the playoffs.

Good luck Horn on your Ott/edm over

Really sounds like the Sens players are not looking ahead to NJ. As well Muckler is sort of calling the players out a bit in the media saying how these next 2 home games mean alot and then he will take a look at the team and where to go. No panic button.....yet. White needs to have a big game and Spezza has to get it going as well. Who knows, maybe the Sens get a 2 or 3 goal win or continue to play inconsistently.

From TSN...............

The Colorado Avalanche could have forward Paul Kariya in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Phoenix Coyotes.

Kariya, who has missed seven games while recovering from a wrist injury, said shooting or passing the puck is not a problem but skating with one hand on the stick still causes him grief.

"When there's two hands on the stick, you can compensate with the bottom hand," Kariya tells the Denver Post. "When you shoot the puck, you've got two hands, so if you're not 100 percent with your top hand, your bottom hand can compensate. Carrying the puck with one hand, you've got to have the strength in that hand."

Kariya added he will see how his hand feels on Thursday before making any final decision. Head coach Tony Granato added that Kariya will not be inserted into the lineup until he's completely healthy.

"I would venture to guess that (tonight) would not be the night for Paul, but he's getting close."

If he can't play Thursday, Kariya is expected to be back in the lineup Sunday against Chicago.

While Kariya's return is still uncertain, Granato indicated that Peter Forsberg will be back centering a line with Milan Hejduk and Alex Tanguay tonight, barring an overnight setback. Forsberg has missed the last four games with a groin strain.
