hawkeye---yeah have some opinions and some plays:--I played both of these for half of what i played on the kentucky total.
Texas--Okst game under 139.5---Ok st likes to run but this is a big game, and in big games with 2 teams that are both physical---and will bang a lot. The refs have to let them play and will not call everything. Also see a tight game here in which the scoring really declines in the last 7 or 8 min of the game, both teams walking it up(particually Texas)--and pulling it out on offense working for good shots. ALso in a tight game the defense intensity will be up and feel it will be a lot harder to score late. Also these 2 teams are familiar with each other, theyknow who the shooters are. And feel that both teams have the athletes to defend each shooters.
wisconsin game under 123.5------i like this one a little bit better than the texas total. We are not working with many pts in this game, which is not a good feeling. It does concern me that Wisconsin head coach was complaining a lot to refs about how physical Illinios was on defense the last time these 2 met.,However, these 2 know each other very well, and both coaches are going to to a great job preparing how to defend each others set. And since this game will be in the half-court most of the game, that is important. Wisconsin does not want to get into a running game with Illinois, and we will see Harris and Wade walk the ball up the court a lot. This too will be a tight game, in which the game will be slowed up in the last 6 min. don't see many pts in the last 6 min when the game is tight. Also note the last meeting both teams shot the ball very well and only put up a total of 122 pts
Also like wisky big time +1-----Why?---Wiscky first of all beat them once at their place and when they played illinois at their place
was in the game late but had 3 straight turnovers. Illinois shot the ball really well from the field. Inspite of Illinois great shootin, wisconsin had a chance to win. Illnois playing back to back games may not have those fresh legs to knock down those 3's like they normally do. ALso feel Illinois beats a lot of teams due to their atlhetic quick guards. Their guards penetrate and break the defense down and then kick it out for a wide-open 3. This their strong pt, feel Wisconsin can match-up with them on the perimeter and eliminiate illinois guard penetration, preventing all the easy looks and lay-ups illinois relies on. Wisconsin will run a lot of offense and make illinois defend. No Powell for Illinois will really hurt them, he provides that toughness on the block that they will miss bad when the outside shots are not falling.
