OK. You are correct. I was thinking it was closer to the castle when we were there. We also visited Salzburg and that must have been when we toured the Eagles Nest which is a little over a half hour from there.
If you are only planning on hitting the major tourist areas everyone speaks English and does it well. Even in the out of the way places you can usually find someone that understands what it is you are trying to ask. Unless you are going to Turkey, then all bets are off on English speakers....:scared

I have been all over Europe having been lucky enough to work for an airline for 24 years and Prague is still the prettiest city I've ever seen. Women are stunning as well.
