Sens are battling the zebras as well with the phantom high sticking call.

Morrow chops Alfredsson's stick in half in the offensive zone while he has the puck, right in front of the ref.......loses the puck goes up ice.....what more can you say......just brutal all night.

Pens 3rd goal summed up the night.....garbage goal.....because they wanted it more.....grinded it out....they actually wanted it more all night and they have nothing to play for, except the President's trophy. Sens best player was their 40 year old captain.....enough said! Feel bad for anyone who tailed.

You are one of the best hockey cappers on here...dont hang your head. Nobody held a gun to anyone's head to play it. Plenty more games including playoffs. Keep it going CG!!

Never said the season......clearly stated during the 6 game win streak!

Still. I am obviously a Pens fan and as such, yes, I have seen all six of those games you are referring to as won with "smoke and mirrors" and you are WAY off.

If you want to make a statement like that looking for a reason to root against them or to justify your play then so be it. Fact is they won with hard work, talented players and solid goal-tending. Nothing "smoke and mirror" about it.

I don't hate the play, I think you found a good spot to go against a good team with a line that was probably in your favor. Doesn't mean you need to justify it by making up reasons to have a play of the day/week/month/year/whatever against one of the best teams in the league.

Wish it had of happened........again sorry to those who tailed...

capping guru, no need to say sorry. you are very solid in hockey!

I don't watch hockey much, but I do come into the thread here and there just to put in a small play, to watch and try to understand the game. Most of the times I am come in here and I follow a couple of your plays.

Tonight I followed your play, but I ain't mad at ya. Everyone has there big plays crushed at times! Stay positive and we will all get the man next time! So no need to be sorry! :toast:

Agree to disagree then. That is just my point, you are a fan of the Pens and fans have a very hard time seperating subjectivity and objectivity when it comes to their team. When 2 of the Pens players are flat out telling myself and 2 others over lunch yesterday at the Brookstreet hotel where the Pens were staying.....what I posted here I think it has some merit. They even went on to say the Panthers win was because FL has flat out given up on Kevin Dineen.....that they played sooo bad and the late goal on the PP sealed it for them.

Again, your Pens and the Hawks stand the best chance talent wise of winning the Cup. GL!

Thanks for the kind words. Honestly, as a person I feel bad when I lose a play like this that I felt so strongly about and that others no doubt followed. That is my conscience! Nice to hear you stop by and check out the thread for plays though. GL!!

Fair enough. I think the thing most who faded them on the basis of having nothing to play for missed is the fact that the players who have nothing to play for aren't (and haven't been) in the lineup.

The new(er) acquisitions certainly have something to play for. Their spot in the lineup once everyone is healthy, to show that they aren't just hitching a ride to a Stanley Cup and to show they are as good as advertised when they were brought here.
