central mich (-4) 2 units. i've heard a lot of talk about the chips 'letting down' this game. they've wrapped up their spot in the league championship game, yada yada yada. nonsense. this team has been mediocre at best for a while. this is a dream season for these kids. they're not going to let off the throttle, and this is the perfect opponent to make sure they don't. last year, when they hosted the huskies, they were on a 4-game win streak, including a win over toledo the week before. they lost by a touchdown, but they pretty much dominated the game statistically. 32 first downs to 18. 588 total yards to 441. 206 yards rushing to 6!!! ok, garrett wolfe was out for the game, but that is a damn impressive number. speaking of wolfe, here are his rushing totals for the last 4 games... 25, 45, 66, & 54.
this year, central mich is 9-1 ATS, with the only loss a backdoor cover by temple. northern ill is 0-4 ATS at home. they are just looking to finish a very disappointing season.
no let-up for the chips. they take care of business tonight.

well, northern ill finally showed up for a home game. wolfe ran like wolfe again. as usual, i like way too many games today...

rutgers/cincy under (37) 3 units. LOVE this play. my ONLY concern is that cincy doesn't bounce back from the whuppin' wv put on 'em last week. the cincy d matches up a lot better against rutgers than it did against wv. i believe they played 7 straight unders before last week. if you can slow down rice and leonard, which these guys can, you will slow down the rutgers offense. no need to worry about teel beating you. this has all the makings of a 13-10 game.

duke (+24.5) 1 unit. :scared don't look now, but the mighty blue devils are 3-1 ATS away from home. GT will be looking ahead to georgia next week. besides... i'm addicted to taking points from chan gailey.

iowa/minny over (53) 2 units. these two have played at least 5 straight overs. here are the total points the last 5 years: 80, 56, 62, 66, 66. more of the same today.

army (+29) 1 unit. possibly the worst play i've ever made. this army team is TERRIBLE. no way can they stay close to the mighty fighting irish. one of those games where you look at it and you cannot come up with a single good reason to take the black knights. and yet... the line has dropped from 32.5 to 29. WTF? i can only figure that somehow, some way, army is going to stay within 4 touchdowns. can't wait to see how they do it.

east carolina (-2.5) 2 units. yup, i'm still riding this train. pirates are 4-0 ATS on the road and 5-0 ATS as a fav this year. 9-1 overall. 17-4 ATS the last 2 years.

michigan (+7) 1 unit. i know everybody has been waiting to see what smitty thought about the big game. i was actually on the right side of this matchup 4 straight years before the wolverines let me down last year, missing the cover by one point after blowing a 9-point 4th quarter lead. i don't like it as much as i did earlier in the week. i realized i was giving too much credence to michigan's win at notre dame. however... i don't think anybody has really punched ohio state in the mouth yet this year. (colt mccoy was making his second start in the game against texas. tough spot for that kid) they're gonna get hit today. it'll be interesting to see how they react. you know mike hart will be motivated by his 9 carries for 15 yard performance last year.

penn state (-18) 2 units. disappointing year for penn state after the great run last year, but they are still 4-2 ATS as a fav this year. spartans have long since given up on the season. nittany lions roll today with joepa looking down from the press box.

boston college (-8) 2 units. this is not a good maryland team. bc is 4-1 ATS at home. the turtles get exposed today.

nevada (-17) 1 unit. wolfpack is 9-1 ATS (7-0 as a fav). la tech is 1-6 ATS as a dog.
