One for tonight. Good luck.

MIAMI +9 over Lakers 1*

Great spot here for the Heat in my opinion. Their defense has been extremely tight. Lakers were struggling shooting the ball but then caught fire once Shaq returned. Even with the Big Fella, they will be hard pressed to keep up that 50% plus clip that they have been at. Eddie Jones normally also has big games against the Lakers and this team actually won in Los Angeles last season (believe it or not).

That game at Staples Center last yr sticks out in my mind. Amazing, inspired performance by the Heat. Scored nearly 40 pts in the 1Q if I remember correctly. GL.:)

Yeah. They went out to this huge lead and the Lakers came all the way back to lead at like 108-106 or something like that. I thought my ML bet was deader than dead (only played for $100/$400 if I remember correctly) but Kobe went cold and Eddie Jones got hot and the rest is history. Best of luck to both of you guys, too.

More an alumni than a sports fan of USC, to tell you the truth. I have serious problems with college sports but I do enjoy seeing the Trojans do well. That is why I use an avatar that bears no mention of the Trojans logo or anything else having to do with sports.

I just find college sports, at least big time college sports, incredibly dirty. Call me antiquated, but if athletes are to be representing colleges, they should be legitimate students as well. The athletes are hardly the only ones at fault. They are exploited by a myriad of writers, television personalities, agents and coaches financially.

The other problem, of course, is the inferior level of play. I mean, I just don't see the point of watching or closely following lower levels of basketball or football when the NBA and NFL are readily available and nearly saturated on TV. I understand the allure of it: the games are exciting. But I will trade excitement for quality any day.

Guess you haven't seen a Nuggets or Bengals game lately!!!
Just kidding, I love the excitement of college ball, my folks live in Rancho Santa Fe, season ticket holders to UCLA foots and baskets, when I get out there I try to take in a couple of games.
Both of my sister's just moved, 1 to Point Loma, the other to Tiberon, both of my brother in laws are football fans, so i'll be looking forward to taking in a couple of pro games out there as well.

after watching tonights card, so far not a close well played game yet in the NBA, actually quite a few poor performances, I wouldn't say that there is that great a disparity of play within the NCAA as there is in the NBA . Hard to find a pro team this year who consistently leves it on the court except for dallas, chi even though they have been losing puts forth a concerted effort.

I can bet than ANY COLLEGE TEAM can score more than 3 points in a NBA GAME

Denver proved itself ..
