Military Bowl

pitt (ML) 4 units to win 5.6. so... let me get this straight. navy is at home. in the military bowl. in reynolds' last game. only laying 3 to pitt? huh. kinda begging for navy money, isn't it? so naturally i love pitt. several factors in pitt's favor. they've had a few weeks to prepare for the option. oh, and they already faced the option earlier this year. georgia tech absolutely gashed them in the first half, but pitt held them to 112 yards on the ground and 7 points in the second half. they can definitely build on that going into this game. also, pitt was 5-1 on the road this year. the only loss was on a 57-yard fg as time expired at iowa.

i don't think navy has faced a power running game like they're going to see on monday.

and one more thing... guys like tyler boyd tend to have huge games in these bowl games. pitt will do a few different things to get the ball in his hands.

Quick Lane Bowl

CMU (ML) 2 units to win 3.5. i'm not convinced that cmu isn't the better team in this matchup. mainly because minnesota is going to struggle to score. cmu won't exactly light it up, as they rely on rush in the passing game and minnesota's pass defense is very solid. but i still like the chips to be able to string together a couple drives, and that may be enough to win this game.

under (48) 2 units. minnesota can't score with any consistency and their d matches up well with what cmu does best offensively. it will take 3 non-offensive tds to put this game over the total.

Just finished capping both games and think we're on the same page... CMU playing almost a home game and not sure Minnesota can get excited for an average MAC club. Momentum is huge in bowl games and Gophers shouldn't be in a bowl game anyway much rather laying points.

Also, Keenan threw for just over 1,000 yards this season so an average of what, not even 80 per game? When Navy can run over teams, they're lethal, but Pitt has over a month to prepare and Navy couldn't run over Army... realize his last game playing at home is huge, but Pitt was a much better road team than home team anyway and boasts a solid QB, RB, and WR which should do damage vs the Midshipmen.
