if you like money, you will fade these plays. I'm fucking horrible right now.

Peach Bowl

houston (+7) 4 units
houston (ML) 2 units to win 4.5. absolutely love the cougars today. i'm not sure fsu is even going to show up for this game. 2 years ago, they won the nc. last year they were in the playoffs. how excited will they be for the peach bowl against houston? and the cougars are certainly good enough to take advantage of a less-than-enthusiastic seminole team. houston is better defensively than people realize. they are 11th in the country, allowing 3.3 yards/carry. they'll be fired up for the challenge presented by mr. cook. i'm hoping they'll put 12 guys in the box (shhhh... don't tell the ref).

i really don't think the game will even be that close. i like houston to get a solid win.

of course, i have been wrong a LOT lately.

ha! i've been as cold on the horses as on football. although in the 5th race coming up, i like the 3, 6, & 10. 2 7-1 shots and a 9-1. this would be a sweet tri...

well, the 6 won easily. and the 3 came in 2nd. just, you know, without that little man on his back.

so there you go. he ended up at 6-1. sorry, i know you asked for 8-1.

alrighty, back to football...

oklahoma (-4) 2 units. hard to trust this oklahoma team for 2 reasons... the big 12 and bob stoops. but this line is just begging for clemson money. so i gotta bite the bullet and bet on the sooners.

alabama (-10) 3 units. this is a great matchup for bama. they are vulnerable to spread teams with mobile qbs. that's not michigan st. in a slugfest, the tide have a big advantage. michigan st ain't gonna know what hit them.

just a general comment about the 4 playoff teams... and this is just my opinion, but i really think clemson, alabama, and michigan st were all better teams last year. i think oklahoma is the only one that's better than they were last year.

thanks, morris! happy new year! we're heading out to dinner in a couple hours. hopefully we'll be home before too many of the drunks hit the roads.

i just lost $450 on a dq in the last race at gulfstream. perfect way to finish a rough year on horses. nothing like having the 25-1 shot on top and losing when the 4-5 fav gets dq'ed out of the exacta.
