Between Green Bay and Iowa City
New Orleans(-10') over Detroit (1*)
- - My take since their Week 11 bye is that the Saints have been content to let their play on the field manifest their intentions, while the Lions under Schwartz exhibit an entirely different grasp of the concept on a weekly basis . . . New Orleans won't have a problem matching Detroit on offense, and IMO the Saints possess edges elsewhere across the board, with a bonus assist from the energy under the Dome. New Orleans will carry my cash.

Houston(-4)(-103) over Cincinnati (1*)
- - I see a Houston team capable of elevating the play of their young QB vs. QB Dalton returning to his roots and trying to elevate his Cincinnati squad past the wall they've hit . . . Houston shows their strengths in front of a jazzed house.

Pittsburgh(-8) over Denver (1*)
- - The way Tebow coverage has dominated the second half of the season, everyone paying any attention can form their own conclusions as to what crescendo Tebow and his overworked (on defense and offense) cohorts are poised to flash under postseason pressure while squaring off against Dick LeBeau's sturdy Steelers . . . With Roethlisberger hobbled and very unlikely to display his uncanny and legendary playmaking under circumstances when he has no business escaping, IMO the only post-game analysis required to determine whether this wager came home will be asking how well Ben exercised experienced judgment and easily outplayed his counterpart, rather than surrendering short fields in an effort to perform excessive heroics.

New Orleans(-3)(-125) over San Francisco (1*)
- - Every Packer fan I know has been forming an opinion on this matchup since November.

- - Not surprising I've gone back and forth all week on this matchup featuring two Jekyll and Hyde teams . . . Matty Ice and his squad of dirtbags (Green Bay has played them thrice in two years, and I've seen and heard plenty of their garbage) are focused on taking the next step, but I look and see them outside of their comfortable elements, and I certainly expect their up tempo plans will grind down into plenty of conventional game situations and rhythms . . . I would much prefer if the Gmen were being a bit less vocal and delusional about their potential for something Super special, but I think their brutal second half schedule has them well prepared for a 60 minute engagement today, and with the Manning clan in full attendance, I'll side with Eli to engineer either a 2 point or a 4 point victory, which exemplifies my reasons for going back and forth on this one.

New Orleans/San Francisco(Un47)(-120) (1*)
- - If Brees is as careless with the ball as last week and throws multiple pick opportunities in the defender's hands, then New Orleans gets bounced . . .Small/fun prop wager on total field goals Ov3'(+100).

- - After Green Bay was bounced, I watched all of both championship games, but I have N-E-V-E-R in my life spent less time on the the last three weeks of the football season . . . Same time next year . . . GO PACK GO!
