just damn jealous people he can't be brought up to older guys unless physically same size as them

its his first year of organized baseball  I played from 5 years old til 18 in organized baseball, why didn't his parents have him in the system the last 6 years? He should be brought up to pitch, plus the other parents are being too bitchy about it, I want my kid to be challenged, thats how they get better

in the winter his dad should start teaching him an offspeed pitch :0074 12/6 curveball and a splitter to go along with his fastball

then next year parents will really bitch :0074 maybe we will see him in Williamsport

From the comments the kid is pitching Minor League (8-12) not Little League.....12 yr olds aren't supposed to pitch in the Minors per their league rules... Move up to Little League young man and watch the balls fly over the fence, high 60's low 70's is brigging it for a 12 yr old.....:0008

I think since he is first year organized baseball is why they will not bring him up for major league, lets see how he does next year

Article states he was clocked "at 6o mph", which almost any decent league will have several kids throwing at at least that speed.

High 60's/low 70's is bringing it...60, not so much.

so if you were this kids dad youd ruin his arm by teaching him some ridiculous pitch he shouldnt be throwing until hes like 16.....right. you sound like the typical dick bag coach that is more concerned about winning a kids sports league trophy for yourself than the health of your players.

its obvious youve never played a day of competitive baseball or youd know throwing a 12-6 curve is one of the worst things you can do if your arm isnt fully developed.

the best and most effective thing would be teaching him how to master a change up.

but it is technically against the rules for a 12-year-old to pitch in the ?Minors.? In most cases, nobody makes a big deal of it and kids can go ahead and pitch since they?re eligible to play in the league, anyway.

If you put a RULE in, then FOLLOW IT.

ALL THE TIME!!!!!
