They probably felt bad after fucking up the flagrant 1 for the karate chop the Wisconsin player took to the face.

it evened it up..

that was 2 really good teams giving it everything they had.

could watch those 2 teams play once a week..

Badgers were better this game when it mattered most..

neither team was given an edge in the calls

Probably

Haven't seen wisc make 10 of 12 yet.

Az destroyed them in the paint and at the line hit 30 points from deep in one half is impossible to beat

...and if the queen had balls she wud be the king. Pac 10 and west coast in general are light years behind. Duke runs out Gonzaga who was crowned the king of the west with ari. Give me a break.

Not sure what some were watching but I can hardly blame officiating in either game. Calls were made and missed in each of the games.

Duke destroyed MSU. Okafor who I believe is the most dominant player in the post was a huge matchup problem and Dukes defense was suffocating. MSU's demise came in the first 5 minutes (3's) when a team who can't shoot from the perimeter all year decides to abandon the low post and took several contested jump shots during the game. Valentine went nearly 20 minutes between baskets. He was basically taken out of the game for nearly 20 minutes. If you watched closely several times you saw one of the MSU players get the ball low only to pass it outside or turn it over. MSU on several occasions had maybe 1 or 2 guys on the floor who could score. Shut them down and were was MSU going to get its offense from? As far as the fouls, if your aggressive and driving the lane you usually get the fouls as well. Not a Duke fan but I think the defense they have played the entire tournament has been some of the best I have ever seen from a Duke team in any of their tournament years.

As for Wisky I can't see how anyone is shocked by them winning. Kentucky allowed them to shoot 48% from the field and 50% in the second half. Refs had nothing to do with those baskets. Kentucky was destroyed on the glass, especially the offense rebounding. How many dunks did KU have? 2? Wisky was clutch down the stretch and KU was not. KU was 1-8 from the field in the last 6 minutes, hard to win a close game when you can't make a shot. Unlike N.D. who had KU beat, Wisc did not fold down the stretch. Add it all up and you become 38-1.

Bottom line someone had to lose and it was a great game. As an Indiana native this was a sweet KU loss and IU remains the last unbeaten. Since we all want to blame the refs go back and look at the 75 IU team who was one of the greatest teams ever and to this day Bob Knight says it was his greatest team ever, yet they lost (Refs in some eyes caused the loss). IU should have had back to back undefeated seasons.

Should be a great title game. Wisky is gonna have it's hands full with Okafor that kid is a beast in the post.
