Don't fret, D2. Freedom wasn't the only horse that did not run it's race out there on Sat. It was like every one of them could not negotiate the deep Belmont track and it's wide turns.

Looked like a bunch of zombies running around that track. Win or lose, that Belmont Stakes was very disappointing and boring.

it was a long time ago (the track may have changed a bit since then) on a Belmont Stakes Day that we had to actually walk across the track to get to our car (Belmont has several parking lots). I said to one of my friends, "How the hell do them horses run on this thing?". It was deep as all hell and every step was an effort; like soft sand on a beach. And it was a beautiful weather day too.
