not knocking a team for beating who they have to play but memphis not tourny tested like ucla. they have a ton of talent and an avg. coach. who is being rumored to be going to indiana. they beat ucla game in november but ask yourself would a ben howland team let them score 80+ now???

ucla +3.5 and moneyline very big...
also lsu +3.

Dunno Johnny....I know you've been on fire and I hate going against you, but I think Memphis pulls this out. You might be safe with that +3.5, but ML play I don't know. GL as always!!

dude, you must be an insider on that indiana job. who would want that job anyway? no one can follow up bobby knight - and i believe alford would get it over calipari. also, if you lived closer to memphis you would know this guy has it made here. all the players work for fed ex in the summer, he has perks out the a$$, and his younger children have been in school here for a few years - i seriously see him leaving after he is finally having success. we have a great team this year, but it still has not accomplished anymore than larry finch did at this point. if we beat ucla today it will be our first trip to the final 4 in 20yrs.....cal has unfinished business here and i can't see him leaving now.

the fear of playing ucla is that are vey athletic and you do have a 7ft ctr - dorsey struggled to score in the last game against bradley's 7ft guy. however, memphis goes 10 deep, we will press(unless you guys consistently beat it, and we can play several different matchups on d - should be a good game. i am cautious, but i will be real pissed if we lose - obviously because i am a fan andd because i think we are the more talented team this year.

well i guess this forum has gone from a west virginia crowd to a memphis gang...
i'm definitely not an insider, do you get sports illustrated in the tennesse?
Memphis coach John Calipari has been mentioned for the Indiana job. Calipari hasn't said anything about the IU job. His athletic director, R.C. Johnson, said Thursday he thinks Calipari is staying there.

and maverick, pleazzze don't go there... memphis has won each of their games by 16 points... hardly competitive competition and thats after coming from a weak-ass conference usa.

i personally do not subscribe to the rag, sport illustrated - there is only one issue a year i actually view. i am sure the report is true, but calipari is mentioned for a vacancy every year about this time. like i originally posted - if you lived here......

i would wish you gl, but i can't - it has been a long time since the tigers have had a shot at the final four. i'll cheer for the tigers to win by 3 - that way you win your bet (although a close game will be rough on the :scared old bp).

Hats off to you Johnnieb., you stood your ground against all the homers....you called it right, not only were they not tourney tested, but more like streetball mentality! Pretty sure Indiana is looking for a coach with a little discipline.
Keep up the good work!

Last I heard it is either Crean or Wittman at Indiana. Not sure where this Calipari talk is coming from - I cant fathom the IU folks wanting somebody like hime.

Great calls johnnyb!

Loved the way this played out. I think UCLA matches up better witht the LSU team than they would have against Texas or Duke. Looking forward to the final four!
