Holy Points (overs 4-0)...and chalk!!! Hogs had it for 39 min...and then they didn't. On the one hand...we are getting the 'best' teams playing each other each round...on the other, no upsets makes this go-around feel a bit mechanical. More of the same, today?!?
Sparty -3.5 2200/2000
If only Chris Beard hadn't done what he did...probably still be at Texas, and they may be...here? Dude can definitely coach...but so can his opponent in this one. This line feels a tad low to me...and Sparty just has a different feel than in years past.
Tennessee -4.5 1100/1000
I know, I know...Kentuck has won both meetings this year, and I hear all that and appreciate it...I just like where the Vols are (right now) in comparison to where the Cats are. This is usually around the time when Rick Barnes teams bow out (and his teams have the same look...every...damn...year, nowadays), but I'm saying not yet. The difference to me is the 3rd scorer (Jordan Gainey). As long as he continues to play well (and I think he will), the Vols will march on (and cover).
Michigan +9.5 2200/2000
F Me...Michigan is so damn soft...but I actually think they have a chance, here (to cover AND win). I've mentioned Auburn peaking over a month ago, and maybe I'm underestimating them, but they don't seem to have that "it" factor to go all the way (IMO). Riding that Big Blue high...
Houston -8 1100/1000
My least favorite game of the day...I don't see a way through this for Purdue...H-town is going to limit everything they do. This total is LOW in comparison to every other 16 game (hint, hint, I like the under, too)...I'm seeing a defensive clinic put on by the Cougs before the ugliest offensive game in NCAA tournament history happens on Sunday (yes, that would be Houston v Tennessee).
Totals
Sparty/Ole Mill UNDER 144 1100/1000
Houston/Purdue UNDER 131.5 3300/3000
GL All!
