1st and 5 here .... you lose yards on 2nd down you could be looking at 3rd and long...

It is close....also have to consider the situation...field position, time....perhaps even what your offense looks like and how its been playing.

That said, they are both really good and I'd probably opt for 2nd and 2.

I remember seeing that and thinking, 1 down is worth 3 yards? WTF?

1st and 5 all day. I'd take 1st and 9 over 2nd and 2. Extra down every time unless there was a unique situation at hand. Like FG range, etc...
