First of all, a heart felt thank you for all the birthday wishes from this forum yesterday. I am not shy about saying that this is my favorite forum on the site. Maybe it's because it's relatively small or maybe it's because the percentage of quality handicappers is so high. I don't know, but whatever it is, I love coming in here each day and reading all the posts and hanging out.

One early one today based on the angle of playing a team after a loss of 3 or more goals. I think this is an especially strong position getting the half puck and plus money at home as well.

MINNESOTA +1/2 +125 over Islanders 400/500

Nick........

F.Y.I...........you can get +435 on the Austria draw option at 5dimes....that's quite a nice difference!

Good Luck!

Thanks, Stag. I gave up 5 Dimes because they weren't able to do Neteller withdrawls about a year ago and they didn't have Paypal at the time. Do they have either of those options now?

TTM$, Sorry about that, bro. I had already played it when I saw your post. I had already looked at all the stuff you posted but I felt the home team with a half puck and plus money coming off the 3+ goal loss was too good to pass up.

Nick,

Nice call on the Minny game. Unfortunately I was on the other side. But at least I learned a new angle to look for from your win.

Are there any other common angles you can share?

Outside of the ones I mentioned today (coming off a 3+ goal loss and fading a team home the next day after a road win) there are a few others. Tiger told me about the one where you fade the team coming off the road win. Don't use any of these as your only parameter for choosing a game but they are something to look for.

-Look for an underdog shooting at least 10% over their last five against a fave allowing at least a 10% shooting percentage over their last five.

-Historically, games where both teams played the previous day and traveled have resulted in unders. That hasn't been as strong this year.

-Look to fade a team coming home off a successful road trip, especially if it is cross country and especially if a team only has one day of rest in between. With only one day of rest, chances are they will want to spend that day with their family rather than concentrate on hockey.

-Play with a hot goalie :) Sounds obvious, huh?

-Look for line matchups. Some teams have one super strong line, some have two good but not great lines, etc. For example, to play against the Devils you better be playing a team with at least one great defensive line (to neutralize the A Line) and a secondary line that can score.

Here are some more from Tiger:

-play a team in it's first game with a new coach (works well in all major sports)

-when a team plays a road game one night and then comes home to play against a rested team, play the rested team.......often get a good dog with this one

-play any home team getting +1.5 goals up to minus 125....an automatic play

-play under when the home team is favoured by 2.5 goals....only happens about one per month but hit 7 out of 9 last year

-for whatever reason, afternoon games have always tended to be higher scoring......although not this year so far

-when a team plays B/B on the road, play the 2nd game to go over
