Here are the notes I came up with today in addition to my two plays that I posted. You guys may know most of this already from Terryray's great stuff but since my page isn't updating right I figured I'd post it here anyway.
-Ottawa has scored 5 in each of their last two while New York has given up 4 apiece in their last two. Richter makes his first start since the Olympics. No word yet on Ottawa's starting goalie.
-Boston crushed Carolina 6-3 in their first meeting. Grahame will likely start for Boston. Carolina controlled play in their last game at Toronto but could only solve CuJo for one goal.
-Both Columbus and Pittsburgh come off losses to the Kings. Pittsburgh is playing back to back away after a home game, so Lemieux's status may be up in the air. Straka will miss tonight's game with an injury.
-Sharks are playing the best hockey in the NHL. Caps are 4-0-1 in their last five, but those wins are over Florida, Minnesota and Tampa.
-Predators have scored just one goal in three straight. Salo returns to net after his Olympic meltdown. CuJo responded with a spectacular game after his poor Olympic performance.
-Turek looked much sharper in Colorado after the time off. Blues will play their second game without Tkachuk. Brathwaite will start for the Blues.
-Both teams are 2-0-1 in their last three in the Phoenix vs. Colorado game. Phoenix killed Dallas last time out while Colorado struggled a bit with Calgary.
