YTD 109-69

Lalime & Kolzig get the start in nets tonight. Ott. has won twice against the Caps this year winning 11-5 & 4-1. Sens lost 3-2 in OT last month. Jody Hull returns to the line-up tonight. Only injuries for the Sens are Havlat & Fisher who should both be back Sunday night against the Habs. Going to take a pass on this game. If Ott. wins they move into 4th and move ahead of Tor. for home ice advantage. Caps need this win to stay with the Habs for final playoff spot in the East.

Edm. has defeated the Ducks 2-0, 3-2 & 3-1 this year. Oilers are more desperate.

Van. has won 2 and lost 2 agains the Wild this year. Canucks are more desperate and playing better hockey.

Playing:

Edm. - PK.(-160)
Van. -.5(-210)

GL tonight!

Just want to tell you that there is a strong rumor that you might see Koivu back in the lineup for sunday's game.

Did not see your post yesterday. Thoughts on the Sabres at home tonight against the Panthers? Big game for the Sabres tonight fighting for their playoff lives. Status on Barnes and Dumont? You would think with their playoff hopes on the line the only thing that would keep these guys out of the lineup is death! I like the Sens to go into Wash tonight and play the spoiler roll. Caps have been on a roll of late but playing without top defensemen. Sens to much offensive firepower! Take a serious look at the Sens and/or the over. I like both plays in Vancouver and Edmonton both teams cannot afford to lose and are playing like it. Like the under in the Oilers/Ducks game. Good luck $$$$

jakejj,

I did not post the last 2 days. As for the Sabres, definitely leaning to them, everything you said is correct. As for the Sens over, it looks good. They play alot of high scoring games on the road. As for the side on this game, I could just see it being a tie. Ducks game could be a good under but I am going to stay away from it. Dumont is out for the Sabres. Hope this helps.

GL with your plays!

good luck Horns, been away the past week but still watching some good ol hockey...good luck with your plays, edmonton been getting the job done lately, york has meshed in well so far and salo playing lights out...

jake-saw this on buf's team site, copied it from there..
The Sabres got more bad news this morning. Dimitri Kalinin is sick and will not play tonight. Dimitri joins Rob Ray, Stu Barnes, J.P. Dumont, and Brian Campbell on the sidelines.

With Kalinin out, the Sabres will have Jason Woolley back in the lineup.

Horns- stars arent totally out yet but will be if edmonton keeps on winning(especially given the oil's easy schedule to end the year compared to dallas) this team made too many moves at the end to compete this yr, and it looks like they knew it as well. and when you employ such a strict defensive system, well your games are going to be close. most know the stars for winning the close games but this yr and especially the past week or so, they havent been winning those games, they eiher lose outright or in OT-- just not enough punch right now, too many gilchrist/pellerin/muller/mclean types...they battle but just cant put it in the net. look at san jose's checking line with ricci and thornton, i mean they score goals too... oh well not sure where i am going with this so i will stop...talk to ya later buddy, good luck with the picks

Thanks for the info Wigs:) I do not know much about or how productive Kalinin is for the Sabres but I like seeing Wooley back for the Sabres. He is a veteran who has been in situations like this before and has scored some big goals pinching in from his defensive position. As for Dallas Horns, they just have not been able to score more than 2 goals in games recently. Lack of productivity from their second and third lines. I like Dallas here! The fact that there backs are up against the wall and they are getting Lehtinen back and Arnott, Madano and Turgeon are due. Belfour has been playing well in net. Look for a playoff type of atmosphere in this one. I like Dallas to keep there slim playoff hopes alive in a squeaker tonight and I like the under in this game if I get 5 goals not 41/2. I am not sure what the over/under is at the present. Wigs and Horns GL tonight $$$$

jakejj,

I hope the Stars can play a big game tonight, Modano is one of my favourites in the NHL. This guy has an incredible back hand, his wrist shot is top 3 in the league along with Sakic & Hull. Most of all the guy is a fantastic skater and plays a great game in both ends of the ice. Stars will need Belfour to step up tonight. You are right that it will probably be a playoff atmosphere. These 2 teams don't like each other much.

Horns,
Good job in the early games $$$$. Both the Sabres and Stars games panned out exactly as we thought they would! I stayed off the Sabres because the book I use had the Sabres - 1 1/2 and it seems like the majority of the time I give a goal and a half I get burned. I did play the Stars, Senators and the Blues and put the three in a parlay:

9) BET ID=25393864
Parlay (3 Teams) 04/05/02 18:58 ET
100.00/688.33 (paid 788.33) Result: Wager Won
Stars -0.5 (+130)
Blues -0.5 (-120)
Senatrs +0.5 (-115)

I played a side on the Oilers -1/2. They looked alittle sloppy in the first period! Hopefully Mactavish chewed their butts off and they come out of the locker room with some intensity. Good luck, hope you make it a clean sweep 4-0 $$$$
