Lalime & Theodore are the starters tonight in what should be an emotional game with Koivu's return. Sens are 1-2-1 against the Habs this year. Havlat & Fisher are still out with injuries. On the blueline, Redden is out with the flu & Salo is out with a shoulder injury. Persson & call up Kwiatkowski are in on D. Sens will suffer on D tonight as Redden & Salo play important minutes. Redden is usually paired against the opposing teams top lines and logs major minutes on the PP & PK. I am leaning to playing Montreal tonight but too many issues with both teams will make me take a pass. Look for the Sens to play a simple and conservative road game. The under is a strong play for me.

Nashville goalies Dunham & Voukun did make the trip to St.Louis.

I feel there is some good value in tonight's card in the NHL. I like your call on the under in the Canadiens/Senators game. Should be a low scoring tight checking affair! I am also going to play the Canadiens -1/2 +125. I played the Canadiens last minute on Sunday night and they came through for me at Ottawa. I am playing them tonight because this team is fired up, they are at home and they need this game in the worst way! They are the cinderella story in the NHL this year! I am not sure what the status is on Koivu? I am also leaning towards playing the Caps -1/2 -105. This is another team that must win from here on out for a shot at making the playoffs! Chicago has been less than impressive on the road as of late. Look for Jagr, Kolzig and the boys to step up for this one! One more game that stands out at me is the Canucks/ Avalanche game. I am leaning toward the Canucks +1/2 +110. Another one of those teams on the playoff bubble and I think they will play their hearts out! This team has also been playing very well on the road as of late. Any opinions or thoughts would be appreciated! Good luck $$$$

Goaltending question just latest of miseries

The Predators are toting a suitcase full of adversity to St. Louis for tonight's game against the Blues.

Nashville has been outscored 16-5 in its past three meetings with the Blues, all St. Louis victories. The Predators are 11-23-5 on the road, the Blues are 24-12-1-1 at home.

The Predators have been eliminated from the playoff race, the Blues are still trying to clinch a berth.

On top of all that, the Predators are down to three minor league goalies. Injuries kept Mike Dunham (neck strain) and Tomas Vokoun (sprained back) at home in Nashville.

Chris Mason and Jan Lasak were recalled from Milwaukee of the American Hockey League on Sunday night. Prospect Brian Finley is also making the trip.

Predators Coach Barry Trotz said he won't tell the young goalies who will start until today so they don't have too much to think about beforehand.

''Funny things happen in this game that spark you,'' Trotz said. ''I'm sure that whatever goaltender goes in Tuesday we're going to try to play real hard. If they come out with a good performance, guys can rally around things. It's a strange and weird business that we're in and you don't know what will turn a team's fortunes around.''

Mason, 25, has appeared in four NHL games, including three during Nashville's first season in 1998-99. He didn't get a decision in those games, but he suffered a 2-1 loss to Chicago last season.

If Lasak earns the start, it will be an early birthday present for the 6-foot-1, 204-pounder who turns 23 tomorrow. Lasak, who played in the qualifying round of the Olympics for Slovakia, has never played in an NHL game.

''They're both pretty athletic goalies and they make some huge saves,'' said defenseman Bubba Berenzweig, who played with both goalies in Milwaukee earlier in the season. ''Chris Mason is a guy that's usually hot, but can be cold. Lasak is one of those guys you can pretty much expect the same game every night and obviously he has a couple slip-ups.''

Walker update: Forward Scott Walker has taken his first steps in what he hopes is a return to playing next year.

Walker, who's been out of the lineup since Jan. 10 due to post-concussion syndrome, has made a couple of 10-minute walks on a treadmill. He suffered no ill effects from his first real exercise in about three months.

''I was excited to get back, but I was nervous as well,'' Walker said. ''You're just wondering about what happens next, if you can go 20 minutes next week or if some of the symptoms come back.''

Walker said he's received a 20-30 day exercise schedule, one that will finish with a 30-minute regimen of exercise that could raise his heartbeat to 160 beats per minute. Walker also hopes to do a lot of neck work over the summer, so that his head will better absorb hits.

New kids on block: Prospects Adam Hall, Dan Hamhuis, Andrew Hutchinson and Peter Smrek will arrive in Nashville today to work with strength and conditioning coach Mark Nemish for the final week of the season.

There is alot of value in tonights. I just don't want to get caught playing too many games. Koivu is definitely playing tonight for the Habs. Careful of this game, I was there on Sunday and Ott. did not show up at all for that game. If Ott. plays the way they are capable of playing it wouldn't surprise me to see them winning 3-1 this time. Sens have been a funny team this year which is why I am staying away from them tonight. The under is the strongest play on the card tonight in my opinion.
Canucks are probably a good play as well. Avs have not been impressive this year.
Caps are a good play as well, like you said the Hawks have been terrible on the road and the Caps should walk away with a win.

I like your plays tonight. I was leaning toward everything you mentioned. I never considered the under in Ott/Mon. Let's hit 'em hard tonight!
