Lalime and Hackett are the starters tonight in nets. Boston will not have McGillis and Moran in the line-up tonight, outside shot for Moran. Sens are without White and Varada tonight due to injury, White is due back next game. Spezza takes Whites place a center. Havlat is back tonight from injury and Rob Ray makes his Sens debut. Bryan Smolinski who was aquired today is scheduled to land in Ott. at 4:45pm but is doubtful to play tonight. Pothier and Tetarenko were both sent down to Binghamton today.
Bruins have been in town since Sunday night around 8pm after getting beat 8-5 in Chicago and have partied it up pretty good. Sunday night many of the players were out in the market and my buddy had a few beers with O'Donnnell and Murray. Last night the entire Bruins team was at the U.S. Ambassadors house for a huge dinner where many of the guys drank quite alot. What does all this mean? It could mean anything but I will take the rested Sens at home against a defenseless Bruins squad that is having a hard time stopping goals. Sens are 6-2-1 on Tuesdays this season for what it is worth. Should be a sell out so the energy will be there for the Sens.

Flames traded Niedermayer but got McAmmond and Donovan in return today. I am going to anticipate that neither will be in the line-up tonight. Regardless I have a friend who is very close with Anson Carter who was dealt today and the mood in the Oilers locker room is very tense and unsettling, that is right from Carters mouth. I guess with Niniimaa and Carter traded they will only have Isbister in the line-up tonight from their 2 trades today. This hurts the Oilers big time on their PP as both of these guys were workhorses. The Flames have nothing to lose and the Oilers lacked emotion and desperation in their game last night, something a team fighting for the playoffs should have.
May will not be in the line-up for the Canucks tonight but I look for the Canucks to be refreshed from their 5 game road trip and the Isles start a 6 game road trip without Osgood(traded to STL) and Isbister.

Thanks for the info Horns.
What do you think of the trades made today.(the only team I care about is Toronto) but would like to hear what you think of the Ottawa moves as well.
I sent 2 faxes to the Dandy man show last week but they never got read as they were mostly about how he repeats the same things all day and how his whole show is about his hatred for the leafs and there are many other teams out there that he should be talking about as well i.e. Edm,Mont as there are many listners from Quebec side who want to hear about them. I knew he would never read it but I had to try...sorry for the vent again its just that I love to listen to sports and from 3-6 I cant and it is getting to me.
Have a good one and when you are free we all need to go out for a drink.

Thanks guys.
grooven - Got it at Sportsbook.com and I know of a few friends who got it at other places but I can't get a hold of them. Most places have it at a pick'em.
pwine - Too funny, I hear ya about Dandy. I guess we have to take it since their is nothing else. Getting Smolinski is huge. The Sens needed another guy with a bit of grit but could win face-offs and score, he has 18 goals and 20 assists in 51 games this year. Sens third line will be Havlat, Smolinski and Fisher, very solid, it has it all, scoring, skill, a bit of size and grit.

HORNS, or anyone else, do you know anything about this Tim Gleason guy the Kings got from the Sens? The few articles I found so far on this kid make him sound like he's a sure thing to be a future star.

ddubs,

I live in Windsor where Gleason currently plays for the Windsor Spitfires of the Ontario Hockey League.

This guy certainly has all the tools to be a solid defencemen for years to come in the NHL. A star? I don't know if I would go that far, but he definitely will be a top-4 defencemen and if he applies himself perhaps a top-2 guy.

He is 6'1", 205 lbs. Just turned 20 in January. Decent size but not enormous. Has great wheels, can skate like the wind. Good offensive skills and a good hard shot from the point. He can play physical as well, but he will have to get stronger in order to handle the likes of a Bertuzzi or Forsberg.

Nevertheless, if the Kings can get him signed by June 1, they will have got themselves a good one for years to come. Played on the same team with Jason Spezza when he was the rage here in Windsor and many people thought he was just as good of a player if not better than Spezza. Spezza, a forward of course went #2 overall to Ottawa and Gleason went #23 to Ottawa.

Great stuff spits.
ddubs - I saw Gleason at both rookie camps here in Ott. and got to play a couple of exhibition games and the guy does have all the potential in the world, but as most defenseman he will take a while to mature. He can play next year as an overager for Windsor and then he will probably play a year or two in the AHL. Sens have so many young D that trading him away won't hurt their youth on the farm which is why they did it. Kings got a great D man down the line in a few years.
